The cookie named MoodleSession is used for login so that you remain logged in when moving from page to page. When you log out or close the web browser, the cookie is automatically deleted.

In addition, the ‘sectionvisible_[number]’ cookie stores the section within the course ([number] corresponds to the course ID) that was last displayed and remains even after logging out. The next time you log in, you can then start at the same point in the course where you left off last time. Without this cookie, consistent use is only possible to a limited extent.
